Dave is a certified Irish National Tour Guide, Bord Failte Approved

During his years with CIE Tours, Dave was the most-requested tour guide because of his knowledge, passion, fun-loving sense of humor, and of course, his famous “Dave’s Detours.”

Over 30 years in the travel industry, including 3 years of day tours followed by 17 years extended coach tours as a guide and driver throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland

Conducted tours for more than 17,000 individuals over his career

Countless experience coordinating 2 or more full coaches on specialized tours, including coordinating 5 coaches and 240 passengers for the September 2012 Notre Dame vs. Navy football game and 7-day tour in Ireland

Provided transportation for Pope John Paul II’s visit to Ireland (Sept. 1979), President Clinton’s visits (1995 & 1998), and former Great Britain Prime Minister Tony Blair’s visit to Ireland (1998)  Dave loves talking and always has a story to share.  His knowledge of Ireland is second to none.  Dave was interested in joining the station even before we began broadcasting.  He will be a regular on Clonmellon Community radio and if his test broadcast is anything to go by he will be a very popular presenter.  

Dave presents Happy Hour, each and every Wednesday evening from 9 pm to 11 pm, playing the very best music.  Playing requests and dedications.  Catch Dave on Sunday afternoons from 2 - 5 pm with a great mix of chat and chooons.
